A Celebration of Life for Maj. Howard LaPierre

A Celebration of Life for Maj Howard LaPierre has been scheduled for Sunday, 7 December from 1300 – 1600 hours at the Casa Del Sol Resort located at 2750 W. Acacia, Hemet. The celebration will be held in the ballroom. The uniform of the day will be CAP Service Dress or comparable civilian attire. Howard’s wife Dee has asked that no flowers or cards be brought and that in lieu of flowers, donations to help defray expenses can be made. Those wishing to attend the celebration and/or make donations should contact Lt Col Ed Hooper at cawg.se@verizon.net or at (951) 970-6170. Please RSVP so the family can get a count of attendees.

Congratulations to C/2dLt Kayle Andrew Ticas for being 2014's medal recipient of the Air Force Association Civil Air Patrol Squadron Cadet of the Year Award.  C/2dLt Ticas' energetic and unselfish support to the community and squadron, as well as his dedication to academic self-improvement, has demonstrated the professional attributes that are the cornerstone of today's Air, Space and Cyberspace Force - "Integrity, Service, and Excellence In All we Do."  Civil Air Patrol Hemet-Ryan Composite Squadron 59 and the AFA are proud to recognize C/2dLt Kayle Andrew Ticas as one of our emerging young leaders, and we thank you for being a great role model!

Cadet Programs Fundraising Car Wash

Please join us this Saturday to help out with funds for this years' Cadet Programs Conference. The funds will go directly to help the cadets that are unable to afford the $115 for the conference.

Please let your family and friends know about the car wash this Saturday from 9am to 2pm. There is a car wash coupon that you can use to pre-sell some car washes. Just print out and bring in stubs to the fundraiser.

Cadets, just wear your Black Shirt with BDU pants and boots as uniform.
